As some of our products are designed and operated with cords, we understand and concern a lot about how fatal it could be for little children to play with a loose curtain or blind cords. For children have no idea that cords or chains especially with a loop are extremely dangerous and can strangulate them if they put it around their necks, here provides our parental customer’s safety guidance to take precautions and prevent any tragedy from happening.

For manually operated blinds with cords, whether you have pull up or down blinds, please wrap the cords around a wall cleat, which will be fitted on installation, to the secured height out of the reach of children. Or, for chains in a loop shape, we install a cord-tensioning device to attach the chain to the wall. Take 160cm as a reference for this is commonly accepted to be the safe height. Also, do not leave your children near the window cords or chains without supervision.

Alternatively, by choosing one of our products, you can always change the operating system to motorization or wand control as a safer solution.

Strictly complied with industry and Australian government standards, our production process is rigidly monitored with respect to safety use, and for product finishing, a safety warning tag will adhere to the product. Therefore, we highly recommend our customers not to peel off the tag, as it should be a constant reminder for being alert.

Check your window furnishings regularly. There is a potential chance of hardware loosening, do find professional consultation or directly contact us about our product safety.

Ask for professional advice about rectifying your existing window furnishings that have partially or completely failed to function properly. However, as general guidance for customers only, the content above should not be considered as a legislative statement applied in any legal actions.

Guaranteed Installation Date

  • Meta Blinds Guarantee your products till be installed on the day you selected. If we miss the appointment for some unforeseen reason or force majeure, we will give you a $50 credit.

  • “Force majeure” means war, emergency, accident, fire, earthquake, flood, storm, industrial strike or other impediments which the affected party proves was beyond its control and that it could not reasonably be expected to have taken the impediment into account at the time of the conclusion of this contract or to have avoided or overcome it or its consequences.

Roller Blinds

Installed in 2 weeks

  • Only valid for Australian Made Roller Blinds. Excludes special order fabrics, and back orders fabrics. Excludes public holidays, and peak season from October to December.

Retractable Fly Screens

Installed in 2 weeks

  • Only valid for Australian Made Pleated Retractable Flyscreens. Excludes public holidays, and peak season from October to December.

  • Powder coating orders may take an additional 2 weeks.

Plantation Shutters

Installed in 6-8 weeks

  • Delivery times may change due to demand, availability of stock, logistics, customs, public holidays and Christmas holidays, Chinese New Year.

Plantation Shutters – Five (5) Year Warranty

  • Fading and discolouring will not be covered on dark painted or stained shutters.

  • If a defect is visible with the naked eye in natural daylight at a distance of 1.2 metres, it is not acceptable; If a defect is not visible with the naked eye in natural daylight at a distance of 1.2 metres, it is acceptable; and colour variations may occur between individual orders and sampling.

  • It is expected natural timber products will come with slight variations to size and finish inherent in the manufacturing process.

  • Note: “defect” means an imperfection, mark, dot, etc.

  • Warranty is only valid when the customer’s order is paid in full.

Roller Blinds Five (5) Year Warranty

  • 5 Year warranty on all components and fabrics。

  • We warrant this product is free from defects within the following Acceptable Standard Guidelines: Blinds will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a maximum of 5 years excluding Motors

  • Warranty is only valid when the customer’s order is paid in full.

Retractable Fly Screens Five (5) Year Warranty

  • Meta Blinds cover the structural components of our retractable fly screens for five (5) years, and on (1) year on the mesh

  • We warrant this product is free from defects within the following Acceptable Standard Guidelines: Retractable Fly Screens will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a maximum of 5 years excluding PET mesh.

  • Warranty is only valid when the customer’s order is paid in full.

WHAT IS META BLINDS’ RESPONSIBILITY?

  • Meta Blinds guarantees that we will repair or replace, at our sole discretion, any parts or items we deem to be suffering from a defect. Meta Blinds, where possible, will repair or replace any product using identical components. If Meta Blinds’ designs and/or styles have been altered or upgraded, Meta Blinds will replace any components suffering from a defect with a part or product of comparable quality and value.

  • Meta Blinds will endeavour to process any claim made by you and carry out any repair or maintenance required as quickly as is practicable.

  • Meta Blinds are not responsible for any transport damage, incidental or consequential damage caused by accident, neglect, misuse, abuse or commercial use.

  • Meta Blinds will endeavour to complete a property report on the scheduled installation date prior to commencing the fitting of the window furnishings. The report will be required to be signed off, dated and approved by provider/fitter and the owner of the residence.

WHAT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY?

  • All claims under this Warranty must be reported to the place of purchase within seven (7) days after the shutters have been installed. You must provide Meta Blinds with a reasonable opportunity to inspect the product before repairs are commenced. Please note that the warranty period shall not be extended by any such repair or replacement.

  • You must provide proof of purchase to Meta Blinds or its distributor to make any claims under this Warranty.

  • Meta Blinds is not responsible for any transport damage, incidental or consequential damage or damage caused by accident, neglect, misuse, abuse or commercial use of the product not caused by our own negligence.

  • This Warranty will not apply to any orders outside Meta Blinds’ recommended specifications.

  • Custom painting of these products in dark colours will void the Warranty.

WARRANTY ON INSTALLATIONS

  • One (1) year warranty on installation.

  • Warranty on installations will not cover defaults on a product not supplied by Meta Blinds or outside normal fitting standards.

  • Meta Blinds disclaims any liability and is not responsible for damages caused by faulty or unsound structures.

  • This warranty covers that all shutters will be working and operating the same as the day of installation, under non-commercial usage.

  • Meta Blinds guarantees, will repair installations at our sole discretion.

LIMITATION

  • This Warranty contains the only representations made by Meta Blinds to its customers. All other Warranties and representations whether expressed or implied by any legislation or otherwise, specifically the Trade Practices Act 1974 and the Sale of Goods Act 1923, are hereby excluded to the extent permitted by law.

When do I pay the deposit?

  • Once you sign the agreement on the quotation and beware of the terms and conditions.

When do I pay the balance?

  • As a company policy, we require the outstanding balance to be paid in full prior to the installation date. If there is an issue with any of the products during the installation, It’s our duty to make the replacement for the faulty product as soon as possible.

We accept the following forms of payment:

  • Credit cards – We accept Visa, MasterCard, Union Pay and Amex. There is 3% surcharge for Amex.

  • Phone Payment – We take phone payments over the phone if you prefer not to enter your credit card details online.

  • Direct Deposit – You can choose to pay via bank transfer or cheque deposit Please make all cheques payable to Meta Blinds

Can I change my order?

  • Because we are dedicated to delivering our products as soon as possible. It varies depending on the product that is allocated, and at what stage the order is at. However, a consultant can verify this information.

  • Once an order has been processed, the client has the right to make changes within the time restraints listed below. Please note, this is only valid from the date of confirmation.

Roller Blinds: Two (1) working days

Plantation Shutters: Three (3) Working Days

Retractable Fly Screens: Two (2) Working Days

Can I get a refund?

  • As all of our products are custom made. A refund is only possible if you cancel your order within 24hour cooling off period from the date from the confirmation.

  • As all of our products are custom made, if the client wishes to cancel an order, it must be within the 24hour cooling off period from the date of confirmation/deposit. If the client wishes to cancel an order, outside the 24hour period, the deposit will not be refundable.

  • If the client wishes to cancel the order at any stage thereafter, please note charges will incur accordingly.

  • Refunds will be processed within 7-10 working days. Payment will be refunded in the same manner as received.

We will beat any written quote by $60 T&Cs apply

  • Orders must be over $500.00

  • Delivery & installation times must be the same.

  • Products must be made with the same quality and materials

  • Quotes must be itemised and have measurements of individual openings

  • Quotes must be valid and dated in the last 14 days

  • Exclusions apply for cash back offers, bonus and bundled promotions, coupon promotions, grey or direct import products not sold through an Australian reseller, commercial orders, competitor advertising errors, and competitor clearance products or products with limited or restricted quantities.
